Management Accountant Location: Hemlington, Middlesbrough Salary: £25,000 - £31,000 Closing Date: Wednesday 10 October 2018 Location: North East Region, Middlesbrough and Malton Hours: 25 up to full time, flexible Camphill Village Trust is a leading, long established and progressive UK charity supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism, mental health problems and other complex support needs. We are recruiting a Management Accountant within our North East Region, based in Middlesbrough and covering Malton. Travel will be occasionally involved to our central office in Stourbridge. The post holder will be working with communities to improve the operational financial results; with close liaison with central finance team to identify and help implement systems and control improvements, which will improve accounting disciplines, management information and result in improved financial results for the community. You will ensure that accurate and timely monthly management accounts are produced for the communities that you are responsible for. The individual will provide financial support to community General Managers, local budget holders and Central Finance. The duties will include compilation of the monthly management accounts for the communities, including KPI’s and explanations for major variances to budget and preparation of annual budget and including rolling forecasts. The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail and will be passionate about compliance. You will be enthusiastic, energetic and able to undertake travel to other sites. You will supervise a Finance Assistant within the Community, therefore line management experience is desirable. You will have a recognised accountancy qualification i.e. AAT and experience of preparation of management accounts. A detailed working knowledge of Open Accounts accounting system in a multi cost centre environment would be a distinct advantage. Good organisation skills & methodical with good time management skills is essential for this role.
