Job Summary Here at Travelers we are setting up our own law firm to provide legal services to our customers in Europe. We will be complementing our already strong and industry recognised Claim Teams by offer end to end legal services from first notification to resolution. We are looking for a highly organised Legal Secretary with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to join us on this exciting venture. You will have a working knowledge of legal concepts, terminology, and processes and be able to prioritise your work load and be able to remain composed under pressure. Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities As a Legal Secretary at Travelers Legal your main duties will include: Composing legal documentation and correspondence, reviewing incoming post to determine urgency and assigning to solicitors and paralegals Greeting clients and visitors to the firm and providing necessary telephone assistance Proactively maintaining solicitors' calendars, scheduling and coordinating the taking of witness statements, medical examinations and other court designated hearings Accurately inputting and maintaining information in the case management system Acting as a liaison with experts and witnesses and between clients and the firm Providing assistance to the solicitors and paralegals with preparation for trials, case management conferences, interim hearings, arbitrations, mediations and out-of court settlement resolution meetings Minimum Qualifications Grade C at GCSE Maths and English or equivalent. Education, Work Experience & Knowledge Previous legal secretary experience preferred. Prior corporate experience or experience in insurance defence litigation is preferred.
