We are looking to recruit a Legal Assistant within our Family department in our Banbury office.
About the Role
This is a non-fee earning role which provides a high level of administrative support and assistance to all legal Services staff within the practise area by delivering support situated from within the team. The overall objective of the role is to ensure that delegated duties are completed and returned to the appropriate team member with your Practice Area of Legal Services in a timely, efficient and accurate manner. Core tasks relating to the role include customer and matter inception including all associated file opening compliance tasks, the championing of data integrity for the creation of contact, customer and matter records and file closing.
The role will suit Legal Assistants who can demonstrate very strong administration skills, who can work well under general direction against established priorities, processes and procedures and exercise some autonomy about how work tasks are performed. You will easily understand the duties and tasks delegated to you, of which some tasks which may require some knowledge of the Practice Area. You will be responsible for setting personal priorities and mange your own workflow subject to routine monitoring by the Senior Legal Assistant. You must work well as part of a wider team, but may occasionally work independently (if required). You must be able to deal with both customers and general members of the public by telephone or email in a clear and concise manner, whilst remaining professional and representing the Brethertons brand.
