The successful candidate will have the drive and passion to deliver the full range of professional services associated with programmes of teaching, learning, assessment and student support. This is a fantastic opportunity to join West Lancashire College as a full time lecturer teaching Counselling, contributing to ensuring that excellent standards of teaching and learning are reached and maintained. We need a lecturer with experience of teaching on a variety of levels in counselling. You will work as a member of a team to deliver a co-ordinated, integrated learning programme ensuring that students receive a high quality learning experience and achieve success. Your responsibilities will include: To teach to a range of students of all abilities and ages; introduction to counselling to Level 4 To deliver classes of a theoretical nature which are Considered effective and in-line with the college observation process To prepare and deliver lectures and other associated learning materials in a professional and competent manner To prepare Lesson Notes and Schemes of Work as required and place on the College VLE To assess student work against Awarding Body Criteria and track/monitor student progress and achievement using eTrackr To prepare and mark assessments, projects, tests and examinations & develop tracking systems in accordance with the requirements of the course. The post holder will undertake evening classes and attend ‘out of hours’ events and training opportunities as required.
