Lecturer in Computing/IT Location: Salisbury Full Time - 37 hours p/week Permanent Salary: £23,813 - £33,133 per annum Wiltshire College & University Centre is the main provider of further and higher education in Wiltshire and its fast on its way to becoming outstanding having achieved a good Ofsted grade in June 2018. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer in Computing & ICT to join our Business, Computing and Entrepreneurship department on a full-time basis. The post holder will be responsible for delivering outstanding teaching and assessment; ensuring students reach their maximum potential. You will prepare schemes of work, lesson and assessment plans, contribute to the wide enrichment of students including supporting pastoral needs and you will ensure resource material and teaching reflect best practice contributing to the quality of provision as measured by retention, attendance, success rates, grades and value added. The successful candidate will hold a relevant computing degree and/or have substantial experience in a computing role within industry; ideally within a programming, games development, IT systems background. If you do not hold a teaching qualification, we will place you through our staff development programme to work towards a Diploma in Teaching and Learning (Certificate in Education) or equivalent. You will need excellent communication skills, be a competent IT user and be willing to travel as and when required.
