The purpose of this rewarding role is to make a significant contribution to the effective delivery of the curriculum, in line with the College’s Quality Improvement Strategy and to ensure a high quality and relevant learning experience for all students on the course/s. You will be required to teach across levels 1 – 4 in Engineering subjects – which include mechanical and electrical/electronics’ units both on BTEC and EAL provision. Knowledge of PLC’s, control and instrumentation units would be advantageous as would an understanding of a CAD package (AutoCAD), CNC or CAM. In addition, you will also be responsible for developing programmes, ensuring they meet the needs of learners, employers and in line with Awarding Body and Quality Assurance requirements. The qualifications deemed essential for this post are a Level 4 or above in subject specific area, minimum of Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy (e.g. GCSE English and Maths at grade A*-C) and a Level 5 Teaching Qualification or willingness to undertake within an agreed timescale.
