Given the nature of the work of PHE, as a Category 1 department, you may be required in an emergency, if deemed a necessity, to redeploy to another role at short notice. You may also be required to work at any other location, within reasonable travelling distance of your permanent home address, in line with the provisions set out in your contract of employment.

Job Purpose / Summary
The Knowledge and Library Services (KLS) team provide PHE with library and knowledge management expertise to support research and development, evidence-based public health, management and business services, with the overall aim of facilitating the translation of knowledge into practice.
The purpose of the role is to provide an embedded specialist knowledge and evidence service, as part of the KLS team, located with PHE staff in London or the South East. This will include provision of advanced literature searching, knowledge management support, and health and information literacy training. The role will include the development of innovative evidence services, and the building capacity and capability for the use of knowledge and evidence at a local level in support of the wider Public Health system.

With excellent communication, customer service, and evidence-based skills, you will be confident in your ability to work independently using your initiative, but also proficient in team and matrix working.
