The Retail Marketing Events Assistant will support the Assistant Retail Marketing Events Manager shaping and delivering the marketing strategies for our flagship retailers and our Free-Standing Stores, driving our promotional programs and events, leading new external partnerships and working closely with the online team to provide an omni-channel experience for our consumers.
Support with the creation and implementation of large-scale retail activations and outreach events including experiential events, pop ups and collaborations to drive brand awareness, connection and consumer acquisition
Support with the planning of all offsite event activity to ensure success and excellence in execution.
Understand retailer upcoming programs and work with the Assistant Retail Marketing Events Manager on how we can work within their themes to deliver outstanding retail execution, deepening brand love and driving sales.
Implement engaging retail animation by sourcing and maintaining ongoing relationships with artists and creative partners. Work with procurement to source and set up all suppliers on SAP for payment. Work with Legal on implementing Contracts and Non-Disclosure Agreements where necessary.
Support the strategic planning with Assistant Retail Marketing Events Manager and Global Creative on animation required in key boutiques, being mindful of boutique categorisation and budgets, and push for additional event formats from Global Creative where needed.
Implement the FSS calendar of retail events and animation, ensuring a consistent USP to our FSS channel built with experience beyond product and omnichannel at the heart.
Own the Regent Street boutique monthly events programme and align the boutique manager in strategy to further elevate the boutique as the UK flagship store with a unique POD.
Support with the execution of activity to align with the brand’s new boutique categorisation to elevate image doors.
Assist the Assistant Retail Marketing Events Manager in developing and executing new and innovative personalisation services and local opportunities such as regional landmark packaging, embossing plates, promotion of retailer exclusive products and offerings.
Work with the Assistant Retail Marketing Events Manager on continually developing the events strategy and assist in compiling programme reviews to share with global and UK teams. Brainstorm new event ideas and develop event concepts through Global approval process.
Implement support for all Events in the UK by assisting in the forecasting and allocation of all collateral, samples and consumer material within budget and to deadline. Work to ensure consistency on all creative and merchandising material.
Lead all promotion of events analysing performance to make ongoing adjustments and recommendations to improve impact of promotion.
Manage the purchase and distribution of supporting event props, catering, hosts, beverages, waiters, promotion etc required to execute the event.
Work closely with all boutiques/ROMs to take ownership of their events planning. Review submitted event proposals with the Assistant Retail Marketing Events Manager for each programme and coordinate execution of approved events.
Plan in quarterly boutique visits to new stores or to visit new managers to take them through an overview of UK Retail Marketing Strategy and help them identify opportunities in their areas.
Establish close partnerships brand, global and corporate teams to ensure all are fully informed of retail events and activation plans to maximum commitment to supporting the implementation of all activity.
Share findings of competitor and trends inside outside of Beauty and recommend tactics on key learnings and areas of future development at monthly Consumer Engagement meetings and to all departments within the UK team
Raise and monitor PO’s as required in a timely and accurate manner.
Attend regular Training seminars to broaden Jo Malone London philosophy and brand understanding, selling skills and product knowledge.
Manage and respond to requests from the field, Global Marketing teams and all internal departments in a timely and efficient manner.
Maintain strong awareness of boutique activity and build effective relationships with store staff and field personnel.
Assist with any other projects as assigned.
Work with Marketing team to arrange brand conferences, retailer strategy meetings, social activities, presentations. Help to prepare gifts and collateral.
Provide general administrative support for the team, including raising Pos, stationery, meeting rooms, booking travel.
