We invite applications from candidates with proven commercial experience supporting a growing SME client base supporting clients with 10 to 500 Users across multiple sites.
The successful candidate will join a growing, pro-active and highly motivated team responsible for installations and maintenance of network infrastructures, cloud technologies, workstations, servers, data security, daily administration tasks, regular site consultancy pro-active support visits and end user support.
The role will require travel to customer locations predominately throughout Midlands’s area.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in network and server administration, managing shared storage, cloud technologies, installation and support. With a particular emphasis on excellent customer service skills and being able to provide a secure, high-performance, reliable service to sophisticated and demanding users.

- At least 3 years’ experience within a field engineering/consultancy role.
- Full clean driving license and access to own vehicle
- Excellent communication skills are essential, either face to face, over the telephone communication with accurate and clear reporting to end users and management.
- Microsoft Certified Professional accreditation or equivalent
Experience is essential for the following technologies:
Microsoft Windows Server 2008 upwards
Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 upwards
Office 365 Migration experience and a good understanding of related Office 365 products
Virtualisation technology Experience - Hyper-V / VMWare
Active Directory Configuration and Administration
Windows Desktop Operation Systems from XP to Windows 10
Hardware Firewall Technologies and Configuration (ideally WatchGuard or Cisco)
VPN Technologies - Branch office and User VPN's
Network Design and Configuration including VLAN management
Troubleshooting and diagnostic experience via logs and reports
Ability to configure and setup DHCP/DNS/TCPIP/GPO
Microsoft Office Applications 2003 to 2019 experience
Experience in the following categories would be beneficial:
Citrix (XenApp or XenDesktop)
2ndFactor Authentication - Vasco, MFA, Safenet
Backup Technologies and Troubleshooting - Symantec, Datto, Veeam, Storagecraft, Altaro
Microsoft SQL Server
Experience in site visits to external clients to do pro-active support
The role is based in Kingswinford, West Midlands with the requirement to travel to customer sites throughout then UK
