Description We are currently recruiting an Internal Communications Coordinator to be based in London, Tower on a 6 Month Fixed -Term Contract. Role Overview This roles requires good support, coordinating experience supporting the senior managers within Mercer. You will get involved in witting, formatting and editing content. Key Responsibilities Provide an efficient writing and design service, together with organisational and project management support to the Global Internal Communications function. Intranet Update, coordinate, format and source content for Mercer Link. Own/update these sites: UK London EuroPac Write, format and post/issue all-employee news bulletins/articles Update UK and EuroPac region org charts on site as necessary Attend weekly intranet global editorial meeting Write articles for intranet, including: News New business wins Awards Human interest stories from across the EuroPac region Newsletters Source content for and write UK Weekly News email (summary of keys news from UK, Europe, Global) and issue/post each week Provide support for regional quarterly update with design, formatting, posting etc Admin Provide general support to the Internal Communications team, taking on ad hoc projects Issue all-employee emails to global/regional/local audiences Produce/tidy-up/enhance PowerPoint presentations, posters, flyers, desk-drops etc - Produce on-brand banners, images and templates etc Review and approve videos on MercerTV platform M People, Mercer UK's quarterly internal magazine. Assist with production and work with freelance writer, editorial team and designer on all aspects of production, including: Seeking article ideas Organising interview Writing some of the articles (though majority will be written by freelance writer) Review and editing articles Liaise with journalist, contributors and peer reviewers and internal comms team to obtain content and approval Edit/proof magazine Arrange final peer review with editorial team and Mercer Leadership Team Qualifications Skills/Experience Behavioural competencies: Mature outlook, with sensitivity/tact/diplomacy - able to deal with people at all levels, including senior management Ability to work to deadlines Good team-worker Outgoing, friendly and good communicator Skills and experience: Excellent organisational, administrative and project management skills 5+ years’ experience in a professional environment. Previous work in publishing, PR, or consulting field helpful, and direct experience in print production and online communication is essential. Excellent writing, editing and proofing skills, with attention to detail Experience of InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator desirable.
