Integrated Support Worker
Salary: £15,795-17,218 gross per annum
Benefits: Academic year working (40 weeks per year) with 8 weeks paid holiday. Opportunity to work towards a qualification in Health and Social Care
Hours: average 35.25 p.w.
Our client is a well-known, non-maintained, special residential school &college for children and young adults with speech, language and communication difficulties and other complex needs.
Our client is currently looking to bring on board anumber of Integrated Support Workers to work as part of the multi-disciplinary team, supporting children and young adults within both their educational and residential settings. Shifts include some weekend work.
•Work within a multi-disciplinary team to promote pupil’s development, self-esteem, and academic progress.
•Ensure that the physical, emotional and other primary needs of the pupils are met effectively so that they make good progress in their learning and feel safe and well cared for.
•Supporting pupils within the residential setting in the morning/evenings (on a shift basis.)
•Supporting pupils in the classroom during the day.
•Accompanying pupils on outdoor activities.
•Safeguarding – you will be trained to understand all aspects of safeguarding, with an emphasis on what this means for children and young people with disabilities.

Training and support
Our client provides a comprehensive induction and ongoing training and support on a range of topics. All staff will be required to complete a level 3 Diploma (a nationally recognised qualification) which is paid for by the organisation and full support is provided throughout the course. You will be assigned a mentor who will provide regular meetings to make sure that you are confident in your new role; you will also receive support and guidance from your house manager and senior support workers.
