We’re looking for someone with a passion to build an HR career for themselves to join the Dentsu Aegis Network HR Operations team in order to help deliver a quality and consistent level of service at all stages of the employee lifecycle.
You’ll sit in a central HR team of circa 55 people who work across the entirety of the Network. Our HR Operations Assistants play a vital role in the support of all employee’s to answer day to day queries, help on-board new joiners, ensure all data is accurate and generally be the first port of call for all things HR related.
You’ll work closely with the centres of excellence in recruitment, learning, reward and employee relations so you’ll be able to see how it all fits together. Whilst experience would be great, above all you will need to have the right attitude and be pro-active in your approach to growing the role as you see fit.
Essentially, if you’re curious, hard-working and able to work in a slightly chaotic environment then we would like to hear from you.
As an HR Operations Assistant at Dentsu, the bulk of the role will be liaising with employees and line managers to answer HR queries through our HR ticketing system. These queries can be anything from ‘when is pay day’ to ‘can I see a copy of my contract’ and anything else you can think of. You’ll be required to respond quickly and professionally at all times and always look to resolve in line with our company policy and best practice. There’s few things more important for people than being paid accurately and on time and ensuring that happens through auditing data and feeding the correct information into our systems will be vital – attention to detail will therefore be crucial in this role.
We’re looking for someone who wants to engage with our business and build relationships in our own HR team so you can easily escalate more complex queries to the relevant HR expertise team. You’ll be required to work to strict deadlines and will need to advise others in the team what these deadlines are and educate them on why they’re important.
You’ll be one of the go to people for our HR system as we’ll train you to become a system super user and with that we’ll then expect you to be able to advise on streamlining process if possible.
Over time we see this role being a stepping stone for an HR career and if you have the right attitude to the role we’d love to see you progress in the role.
Knowledge & Skills:
We expect anyone in our HR team to be able to work under pressure and to strict deadlines so you’ll need to be able to organize yourself and have a keen eye for detail. Mistakes can expose us as a team and a company to risk so this is paramount for anyone doing the role. You’ll also be a natural communicator, some of the answers and advice won’t be well received so delivering these messages in a clear and concise way is important. Excellent customer service will be at the heart of everything you do in this role and every interaction you have will reflect on the HR team as a whole.
For us we’re happy to teach someone all they need to be successful, however we won’t compromise on attitude. We also want to find someone who has started their CIPD or studied HR in some form during their degree. The HR Operations Assistant roles are our pipeline for HR Advisor’s, who in turn become our future HR Business Partners so for the right person we can offer a genuine career path in HR.
Our industry changes so quickly and we’re asked to work at pace most of the time and sometimes without all the information so you need to be flexible in your approach. This also applies to your ways of working, you may not sit in the same place, work with the same people or the same project from one day to the next due to the varied nature of the business
You’ll need to be curious and have an inquisitive mind, always looking at things from different perspectives and asking why if you don’t understand. You’ll also be exposed to sensitive data and you’ll need to respect the position you’re in and be diplomatic and confidential at all times.
What you’ll get from us:
You’ll work with a team of experts in their HR fields so you’ll learn from everyone around you who can help shape your career and we promise things won’t get boring or easy whilst you’re with us.
