An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Health, Safety & Environmental Administrator to join the HS&E team in this well established and fast growing leading façade contractor at our manufacturing facility in Southam, Warwickshire.
This is a permanent role.
You will be responsible for assisting the HS&E Manager in establishing, managing and monitoring standards, processes, communications, training and systems, to promote a positive health, safety and environmental culture.
Assisting with the implementation and review of factory and office risk assessments.
Assistance with the implementation and review of factory Standard Operating Procedures through liaison with Production department.
Preparation of environment, health and safety communications.
Processing statistical data to monitor performance.
ISO:14001 auditing and documentation up keep.
Compilation of COSHH assessments.
Assisting with the completion of Operation & Maintenance Manuals as required by the CDM Regulations.
Assisting with office/factory accident and incident investigation.
Minute taking and preparation of feedback from Sustainability Forum meetings.
Writing safety briefings/toolbox talks for site and factory.
Assisting with the development of the company’s ISO 45001 strategy.
Assisting in the completion of pre-qualification questionnaires.
Assisting with the archiving of site documentation.
Being pro-active in the identification and resolution of problems.
To comply with all Company policies including Alumet’s Health & Safety and Environmental/Sustainability Policies.
Acting as an ambassador/exemplar of Alumet Systems and embracing/supporting/promoting the Company culture and values.
Seeking and developing ongoing continuous improvement.
To comply with any objectives/targets/KPIs given.
Any other duties relevant to the role or as determined by the Manager.
Training & Development:
Attend any internal/external training courses relevant to the role or as required by the Company.
Ongoing personal development.
Knowledge and understanding of current Health, Safety and Environmental law, ideally with a Health and Safety qualification such as NEBOSH General Certificate.
At least 2 years’ experience in a health and safety role.
Computer literate in Microsoft Office with a particularly good understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Highly organised, pro-active and enthusiastic.
High degree of initiative and attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
Must work well as part of a team.
