About the role
In this role you will head up our Product & Proposition team and so be responsible for the overall strategy, plans and performance (including full P&L ownership) of this business area. You will lead a team of Product & Proposition Managers who use their knowledge and skills to enhance and develop specific products and propositions. You will ensure they are maximizing opportunities and delivering the products and propositions that our customers demand.
Your team will look to you for leadership and direction and so yourresponsibilities will include ensuring your function is aligned to business strategy, set up for success and able to deliver the performance needed over the short, medium and long term. Many challenges will be faced and we’re not just talking Brexit. It’s an exciting time to be in the mobility arena as we help our customers understand more about important technology changes and you will lead some exciting developments as we are permanently looking to remain agile in a competitive world. You will drive a culture of continuous improvement, anticipate and respond to changes in our sector and innovate to exceed customer expectations. This is a highly challenging role that requires an agile and focused approach.
It has been an excellent year for Arval UK but change is around the corner and we need someone who can make sure our Product & Proposition function is ready and fit for purpose.
Pay zone C1.
To succeed in this exciting role you will need to demonstrate a successful track record gained in a leadership position in a Product and/or Proposition function. Ideally this will have been in leasing, automotive or financial services although we might consider strong candidates from other industry sectors. We do really want someone though who is used to dealing with a Group function and understands the challenges this can give.
In terms of what you can bring to the role, we are looking for someone who is a high energy individual, creative yet commercial and full of ideas. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to think overall ‘proposition’ and not just product, making sure customer experience (including digital journeys) are front of mind. You will need gravitas in terms of understanding your subject area, but you will also need the drive to deliver your vision and the credibility to negotiate your way around the inevitable challenges you will face along the way as you look to deliver it. You will understand when to push and when to keep your powder dry, ready for another day.
We are particularly interested in someone who has driven change through teams, implemented efficiencies and new approaches and can evidence a sound commercial business brain. Most importantly you will be a people champion with proven skills in developing your team to maximise their individual potential and so future proof your business.
