Within a fast paced farming environment, the Harvester / Farm Hand reports to the Harvesting Manager.

Daily duties to include
⁻ Tractor driving, using modern carrot / parsnip harvesters in line with the requirements of the business and the Harvesting Manager and Assistant Farm Manager
⁻ Ensure smooth running of the harvesting operation, working with modern root crop harvesting machinery and including routine machinery maintenance
⁻ Attend training and develop relevant knowledge and skills
⁻ Maximise the farming efficiencies
⁻ Provide an efficient and effective service
⁻ Conversant with the Health & Safety procedures and fully observe the safety rules.
⁻ Ensure that H & S working practices are adhered to within your farming colleagues
⁻ Ensure that farming methods are always carried out in the most efficient way, keeping abreast of the new ways of working etc.
Tractor driving experience essential
Experience using root crop harvesters
Full UK driving license
Telescopic forklift certificate
Any other duties deemed necessary by your Line Manager.
Full training will be provided for any new tasks that may be given / expected.
