Handyperson Locations: Northallerton Salary: £20,203 per annum We are a charitable housing association that owns and manages more than 18,000 homes – and developing thousands more – across Yorkshire. We are currently seeking a Handyperson to be based at Northallerton on a Temporary contract until 30 March 2020 for 35 hours per week. The main purpose of this role is to work regionally to undertake structured assessments of customers needs, deliver and fit equipment and carry out repairs and adaptations. The role will include helping vulnerable people remain in their own homes through minor adaptations to the property such as installing hand grab rails, banisters or building steps or ramps. Our work enables residents of privately owned properties, market rental or social housing tenants continue to live in their homes for longer. If you have previous experience in a similar role or have a background in joinery, plumbing or bricklaying then this role could be for you. You must have hold a valid UK driving license, a van and fuel card will be provided, as will tools.
