FULL TIME OR PART TIME – up to 37.5 HOURS PER WEEK, PERMANENT
SALARY RANGE£17,633 to £ 21,798 per annum, pro rata for part time hours
The hospice is recruiting a Gardener/Grounds Person to help look after its extensive grounds and gardens at Saint Francis Hospice, The Hall, Broxhill Road, Havering-atte-Bower, Romford, Essex, RM4 1QH.
The hospice is situated in a conservation area. The grounds consist of lawns and planted areas, many mature trees and a collection of historic roses. Gardening support is provided by a small team of volunteers and the successful applicant will be responsible for managing the volunteers. You will need a good standard of horticultural knowledge and experience and self-motivation to be able to plan and organise the varied seasonal tasks.
You will be working in a sensitive environment and it is extremely important that you are able to understand how to behave when working near patients and their relatives.
