Location: Berkshire/Hampshire/Oxfordshire/Isle of Wight/Poole and Bournemouth
Contract: Part time 25 hours per week (Monday/Tuesday/Thursday am/Friday)

The NFA Group is the number one independent children's services provider in the UK, offering special needs education, residential and foster care, for children and young adults with complex needs.
Following the acquisition of Acorn Care and Education by the NFA Group last year, the enlarged group is entering an exciting time of integration and growth making this the perfect opportunity to join us.
Founded in 1995, the National Fostering Agency (NFA) provides high quality foster care that places the welfare of children at the centre of its work. We partner closely with Local Authorities and UK foster carers to create the best possible opportunities and outcomes for child fostering.
We believe that every child has the right to feel safe, healthy and happy and so are committed to provide this for children and young people who have experienced abuse, disruption and trauma in their lives. Our aim is to provide best service through support, training and remuneration to carers and to value the enormous contribution they make to the lives of children who cannot live with their own family.
We are looking for a self-motivated, team player to work as a Carer Engagement Officer to help build our family of foster carers across the Berkshire/Hampshire/Oxfordshire/Isle of Wight/Poole and Bournemouth areas.
Engaging with the public, face to face, online and by telephone to promote the fostering task
Organising and attending events and informal presentations within the local community
Developing a social media presence within the areas covered to maximise the opportunity for the public to find out about fostering
Maintaining a recruitment database and tracking applications
We are looking for someone with a passion for helping the lives of children and young people who find themselves within the care system but knowledge of foster care is not essential. We are interested in applications from candidates with customer service experience, able to demonstrate rapport building skills.
The role requires regular use of social media, an online database and excel based reporting. It also involves producing online content such as blogs, vlogs and social media posts, so excellent IT and web-based management skills would be a distinct advantage. A previous background in a recruitment or marketing capacity would also be advantageous.
The role will be a home-based role and include travel in the area stated above and surrounding areas, therefore you will need to have a full driving licence and access to a car.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all employees to share this commitment and undertake appropriate checks. We are an equal opportunities employer.
£14,000 (pro rated) Car Allowance (£2,000)
