Food & Beverage Team Leader for Curiositea (part time position)
Salary: Starting Salary is £17,866 pro rata per annum
Hours: Part Time - 30 hours per week to be worked for the 30 weeks of term (each term is 10 weeks). As a guide, hours will be 30 hours per week, working 5 days throughout the week, including one day on alternating weekends. Some late evening work may be required from time to time for special events.

We are looking for someone with excellent leadership and customer service skills, and previous Food & Beverage experience to join our team. With no two days the same, you will lead our busy Food & Beverage team in preparing and serving delicious food and drinks in our fast-paced café.
You will be hard working, reliable, and have a good knowledge and passion for food. You will have the confidence to lead and direct our team of part time student staff, deal with customer complaints, take responsibility for cash control, and have the initiative to problem-solve under pressure.
This contract is perfect for someone who likes variety, is self-motivated and proactive; who takes real pride in their work and looking to gain experience from taking on further responsibilities in a friendly and hard working environment.
What's the job?
Working closely with the Curiositea team, reporting into the SU Catering Manager, you will be responsible for the daily preparation and serving of food and drink in Curiositea.
You will manage a team of up to 6 staff, ensuring the outlet is prepared for opening, that the shift runs smoothly, and the café cleaned and closed down at the end of the day.
You will serve customers to the highest standard and take responsibility for ensuring your team do the same, and when necessary deal with customer complaints.
Your role will also include supporting the Supervisor in ensuring the high standards of hygiene are up-held in the outlet, and that opening and cleaning procedures are adhered to daily.
You will need to have a good knowledge of food hygiene, such as food labelling, using correctly coloured boards, and recording wastage.
