AW139 First Officer (Search and Rescue) - Caribbean
Cobham Helicopter Services delivers outsourced aviation services for military and civil customers worldwide through military training, special mission flight operations, outsourced commercial aviation and aircraft engineering.
For our Curacao operation with the Dutch Caribbean Coastguard, we have two co-pilot AW139 opportunities.
The First Officeris, amongst others, responsible for:
Aiding the Helicopter Commander in mission specific management in conjunction with the Technical Crewmember to provide and collate tactical information to maintain the strategic picture to aid execution of the mission.
Compliance with those duties defined in Company operating procedures and those allocated to him by the Aircraft Commander;
Confirmation of safe navigation of the aircraft by maintain a continuous and independent check upon both the geographical position of the helicopter and its safe terrain clearance;
Volunteering such advice, information and assistance to the Helicopter Commander so as to contribute towards the safe and efficient conduct of the flight;
Maintaining familiarity with all relevant aviation legislation and Company Operations Manual requirements as are necessary to fulfil his function;
Assisting the Helicopter Commander as requested with any duties in relation to pre-flight planning and preparation for the flight;
Reporting to the Helicopter Commander any fault, failure, malfunction or defect that could affect the airworthiness or safe operation of the aircraft;
Reporting to the Helicopter Commander any incident that endangered or could have endangered the safety of the operation;
Maintenance of personal familiarity with the laws, regulations and procedures pertinent to the operation.

To be considered for this position you must meet the minimum requirements:
Holder of an EASA CPL(H) with instrument rating
AW139 MP type rating
English LPE-4 or higher
1000 hours flying helicopter experience
200 hours flying in AW139 or similarly complex helicopter
100 night flying helicopter experience
Holder of a EU, US or Canadian passport
EASA class 1 medical
Team player, ability and willingness to adapt to changing business demands
The following will be highly regarded:
SAR / HEMS experience
Maritime experience
NVG experience
Winching experience
Mountain Flying experience
Low-level flight experience
Proficient in English, written and spoken
College or University degree
Helicopter Underwater Escape Trained (HUET)
Military experience
