Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be recruiting a Financial Accountant on an exclusive basis for a successful business in Rotherham.Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for providing a high quality and comprehensive financial accounting, reporting, planning and control service to the business.
Key Responsibilities will include:
. Responsible for the month end close and reporting process
. Ensure month end control accounts for the balance sheet are reconciled
. Ensure that the month end accounts are prepared and fully reconciled to the ledger
. Preparation of the month-end bank reconciliation
. Supervise the Assistant Financial Accountant in the daily clear down of the bank statement
. Work closely with the Accounts Payable and Credit Control teams to ensure that there is effective end to end control of processes across functions and to resolve issues
. Support the FC in creating a risks and opportunities monthly reporting tool
. Support the cash flow forecasting processes
. Assist in the financial forecasting and budget processes
. Provide analysis and review of key variances
. Prepare monthly cost centre and headcount analysis
. Support Directors in managing the Central Cost base
. Preparation of all VAT reporting required for submissions to HMRC
. Preparation of year-end financial statements
. Support year-end audit processes
. Drive a focus upon delivery of operating profit and cash generation across the business
. Deputise for the Financial Controller where appropriate
. Ad-hoc investigations and projects as requested by the Financial Controller
Key Skills:
Qualified Accountant - ideally ACCA or ACA
SAP experience preferred
Strong Excel skills
