We manage the whole warranty process, including appliance registration, mailing, contact centres, repair networks, in-house administration and claims handling. We now have an exciting opportunity for two Regional Field Service Managers to join our Service department. Covering one of two possible regions, your key responsibility will be to manage a network of gas engineers to ensure that suitable levels of gas competency are maintained when completing gas related work on behalf of our customers. On a day to day basis, you will: Undertake on-site inspections of contractors to ensure that competency is being exercised in the workplace. Where necessary, provide suitable training, mentoring and coaching when deficiencies are identified in the competence displayed by D&G contractors Record and document the findings of all visits to collate a clear indication of the levels of competence with gas engineers Record and collate information to identify training needs, the effectiveness of training given and the engineers ability to exercise such training Maintain a record of Continual Professional Development (CPD) for contractors Undertake investigations when needed, into suspected or identified work This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career within a fast paced and growing organisation. Your role will be paramount in ensuring the effective management of performance and health and safety within, our contractor network. You will be required to use effective planning skills to prioritise contractors that display a ‘higher risk’ to gas and electric, identified through visits, assessments, RIDDOR reported incidents, complaints, concerns or knowledge. Managing the competence of D&G contractors via risk analysis and regular monitoring, you will ensure accurate records are kept with records of findings and improvements for the Head of Networks. You will work with contractors to establish the root cause of problems and actively monitor to ensure satisfactory improvements have been made. You’ll also be responsible for ascertaining and highlighting any areas of risk whilst making proposals to mitigate the risk identified. To be successful in securing this role, you will be able to provide the following: You must be Gas safety qualified (ACS) with a minimum of 5yrs experience within the gas industry Ideally possess a Part P electrical qualification or equivalent, to assess white, central and brown goods IOSH 4 day Managing Safety Training or equivalent An understanding of supply chain management Previous experience and knowledge of the Central Heating sector is essential Proven experience of carrying out monitoring visits Understanding of Statutory and Normative documents relevant to the scopes of work Experience in KPI’s or claims management Full clean Driving License Must be willing to travel throughout the UK Here at D&G, individual leadership is critical to all roles and we are looking for candidates who can demonstrate energy and perseverance in their work, whilst taking ownership and accountability.
