Would you like to be part of one of the most forward-thinking family assessment organisations in England?
Are you a qualified social worker who would like to work within a supportive team?
St Michael's Fellowship are looking for a Family Assessment Social Worker to join one of their committed teams. We are an organisation that is committed to getting the best outcomes for children and their families, through the way we work and through the relationships we build with them.
What does the role involve?
As a member of a dedicated team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with children and their parents. Over time you will be exploring with them complex issues including mental health, learning difficulties, substance misuse and domestic abuse.
“The setting provides exceptional holistic support to parents and the proactive therapeutic approach works inspiringly well.” Ofsted
The vacancy has its challenges and many rewards. You will be involved in a shift pattern that ensures the service meets the needs of the children and their parents, but that also recognises the needs of staff with days off that include 3 day weekends, midweek days, requests and 35 annual leave days a year (inc. BH)
What we're looking for.
You will be a qualified social worker with a real team mentality. We do offer the ASYE.
What's in it for you?
You will have the opportunity to work in a team and an organisation that is supportive and challenges you to develop yourself, your experience and your professional practice. Amongst many opportunities for learning you will learn a great deal about child development, parenting practice, social work and assessments. We are an organisation with a strong ethos of training and developing our staff and recognise that in order to deliver a great service, we need to invest in staff. With regular reflective supervisions, personal and team training, ASYE, social events and massage, you’ll gain experience, grow your practice skills and develop your knowledge with us.
You will join a team of 7 who will work closely with one another supporting 4 families.
The work that you will be involved is important and there are others who rely on the outcome of the work that you and your team do.
If you want to make a difference to the lives of children and their families, we want to meet you.
“They wanted the best for us, they helped us so much.” Parent
