Job: Face to Face Fundraiser
Region to cover: South Devon, West Dorset and Somerset
Our client, The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea.
They provide, on call, 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue service around the UK and Ireland, and a seasonal lifeguard service. They are taking action to prevent coastal drownings in the UK through their water safety campaigns and aim to tackle the global drowning epidemic through their International programmes.
As a charity, they rely on voluntary donations to fund their work, and have saved over 140,000 lives since launching in 1824.
This is a unique opportunity for a job that makes a difference. Help them to raise money and spread coastal safety messages to thousands of beach and event-goers and help them save lives at sea!
Fundraiser role blurb:
RNLI face-to-face fundraising is a job with a difference. You'll inspire support for the lifesavers' amazing work, and you'll also play a vital role in educating the public on how to respect the water.
Join fundraising teams on the beach, at Lifeboat station events and at indoor and outdoor regional events. You will be provided with excellent training so that you feel confident in what you're talking about and comfortable approaching people.
There are a variety of roles available, from part-time opportunities, to full-time seasonal work in the summer.
You'll need to be self-motivated and happy working to targets and vibrant, friendly, outgoing personalities are a must. Day to day you’ll be working in pairs to talk with the public, inspiring them to become financial supporters and educating them about coastal safety. You’ll be working with a variety of people in different locations, so every day is varied.
