English and ESOL Tutor Location: Lincoln Salary: £22,000 - £29,500 Closes on: Monday 25 March 2019 Would you like to work in an establishment where no two days are the same and where you can truly make a difference? Would you prefer small class sizes of 6-10, no endless hours of home marking and less restrictions on holiday dates? These are just some of the benefits of working within Offender Learning as an English and ESOL Tutor. PeoplePlus is looking to recruit an English and ESOL Tutor for HMP Lincoln that can do more than just deliver a qualification but can engage and inspire students that have had little or no prior education. We need an English and ESOL Tutor that believes people are capable of change and deserve a second chance in life. At PeoplePlus Justice we’re committed to tackling the underlying causes of offending, and to transforming the lives of offenders. To achieve this, we deliver programmes of support that help those in prison or serving a sentence in the community. Our programmes deal with the root causes of offender behaviour, helping people to live improved lives and make a positive contribution to society. Our onsite education departments have fully equipped workshops and classrooms like any other further education college. As an ESOL Tutor you would take ownership of our English and ESOL delivery. To be considered for the role of an English and ESOL Tutor you will need a level 3 (or equivalent) qualification in English and ESOL and a relevant teaching qualification or the willingness to work towards one. This is a full-time post working 37.5 hours per week. Please note that prison education runs all year around. Please apply or alternatively email Jenna.firstname.lastname@example.org for further information – for suitable applicants that are unsure about offender learning we are able to arrange informal visits to site prior to application. Here at PeoplePlus reward means far more than just pay. Your total reward package as a PeoplePlus employee also includes a variety of different benefits as well as incentive and recognition schemes for our colleagues. Our generous and competitive benefits package includes; enhanced annual leave of 25 days per annum for a full time role, a paid PeoplePlus Live Event Day each year, a paid Volunteering Day each year, a Pension, Life Insurance, an Employee Assistance Programme to access help and support 24 hours a day every day of the year, the opportunity to buy shares in the company through our Sharesave scheme, Refer a Friend reward scheme, Cycle to Work scheme and access to our employee benefits portal Perk box which gives you discounts on hundreds of products, services, shops and entertainment.
