Start your journey now! **Your Role and Responsibilities** As and Enterprise SAP/SAS Technical Sales Specialist you will drive technical sales activities including Opportunity Identification with a focus on Enterprise Linux applications on IBM Power Systems (SAP, SAS) Your responsibilities include; + Communicate differentiated Value Proposition for Enterprise Linux applications on Power Systems + Collaborate with Global Markets, Software Defined Storage and Lab Services plus vendors, BPs, ISVs, SI's to win in the marketplace + Assist in identifying key areas for technical enablement for field teams and contribute to the development technical enablement materials and mentoring + Create new assets (i.e. references) and technical accelerators jointly with Competence Centers and Systems Client Executive Centers + Contribute to social selling activities for creating market awareness + Identify gaps in product / solution roadmaps that are impacting sales, assist in driving those requirements into products by working directly with OMs **Required Technical and Professional Expertise** + Strong selling and business development skills translating into a hybrid “technical selling” + Strong technical knowledge of IBM Power Systems platform + Good understanding of solutions from SAP and SAS + Consultative selling approach and excellent communication skills (previous client facing experience) + Ability to manage tasks in a fast paced environment with changing priorities and requirements (very good Project Management skills) + Ability to work with cross-functional team members in multi national environment + Ability to travel. **Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise** + Good knowledge of competition and emerging technologies namely cloud – preferably with competitive work experience / history + Experience of working with TSP’s (Technical Services Providers) + Understanding of SAP HANA and SAS Viya deployment options, advanced sizing and migration methodologies + Experience with technical accelerators and tools (e.g. SAP Quicksizer, SAP HWCCT, SAP Early Watch) + Access to and experience with SAP OSS Notes and SAS PartnerNet documentation + External Linux certification (RHCSA, RHCE, SCA, CompTIA Linux+, LPIC-1), SAP Basis or SAS Viya certification is advantageous for credibility in front of customers **About Business Unit** IBM has a global presence, operating in more than 175 countries with a broad-based geographic distribution of revenue.
