Electrical Technician / Domestic Electrician Chesham, Buckinghamshire (covering South Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, West London) £34,861per annum plus benefits & vehicle Permanent, 42.5 per week (Monday to Friday) This is a very exciting time to be joining our client. They are currently seeking an Electrical Technician to join their team in Chesham. In this key role you will complete day to day electrical maintenance work including EICR’s, installation, service, repairs and re-wires competently, unsupervised and in accordance with all their policies and procedures to achieve a ‘first time fix’ level of service. Carrying out all electrical works unsupervised, to a high standard and aligned to approved codes of practice and regulations you will ensure a first time fix wherever possible and within target timescales. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in all types of electrical work including domestic installation, fault finding, service, repairs and re-wires. You will have a logical and methodical approach to problem solving and fault finding along with a City and Guilds 2365 level 2 and 3 (or equivalent). 17th Edition and a sound knowledge of relevant legislation and/or Codes of Practice i.e. construction, building regulations and health and safety is also essential. Due to the nature of the role a full valid driving licence is required as well as being part of the ‘On Call’ team to cover the out of hours work when required. The post holder may need to train/supervise any developing, apprentices or other members of staff on request and will be required to comply with all procedures relating to assets of the business to include commercial vehicle regulations, telecommunications devices, uniform, PPE and identification badges.
