Electrical Maintenance Technician
£30,000 a year plus on call allowances of £7,500 +

We are now looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician to support our Performance Coatings business in Birmingham.
As Electrical Maintenance Technician you will help ensure plant and equipment are safe and operating efficiently by carrying out preventative maintenance and delivering continuous improvement plans. Promoting safe working practices, you will manage the operation, maintenance, reliability and overall performance of the site production processes. You will also identify opportunities and produce solutions to improve production processes. Important too, will be the ability to ensure the site adheres to AkzoNobel and national legal requirements in line with recognized codes and practices.
Preferably you will be a time served electrical apprentice fully compliant with 18th Edition IEE wiring regulations and preferably ex01-04 CompEX qualifications. You will have experience gained in a manufacturing environment and good working knowledge of PLC’s and SCADA systems, particularly Allen Bradley and Wonderware systems. You will also have worked in a maintenance role in a COMAH chemical facility.
In addition to your technical knowledge you are a good communicator who is self-organised and focused on working in a safe and responsible manner. This role will require you to operate as part of the call out team, covering nights and weekends on a weekly basis.
