Progressive Care Ltd is a privately owned company which is successfully leading the way in providing innovative care and support solutions. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated, committed and enthusiastic education assistant/functional skills tutor to join our in-house education team.
•Plan and deliver individualised learning packages to children/young people and adults in their place of residence. (14 to adult )
•The teaching will primarily be Maths and English from Entry One through to Level 2 but we are also able to offer the full suite of ‘Asdan’ short courses and support may be required on those.
•Working across our services and travelling between provisions on a daily basis.
•Teaching English to our residents from other countries. .
•Recognised teaching/training qualification ( Ideally Level 3 Education and Training or above . )
•GCSE/Functional Skills Maths and English, Level 2 minimum.
•Experience of working within social care or with Looked after children and young people desirable
•A motivated, pro-proactive team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work flexibly in a fast paced environment
•The desire to see young people succeed and the tenacity and determination required to help them.
•An Esol or Tefl qualification would be advantageous but not essential.
•A willingness to learn and train in order to broaden and improve the service that we provide.
•Full UK driving licence with business insurance cover.
