JOB TITLE: Senior Director, Distribution – UK JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Director, Distribution – UK works with VP, Commercial & Content Distribution on all aspects relating to extending existing / developing new content distribution partnerships for Viacom’s pay brands and Public Service Broadcaster Channel 5, including commercial negotiation, market, platform & competitor analysis, commercial options analysis and financial modelling, preparation of recommendations for internal stakeholders, pitch preparation, presentation and commercial proposal creation, deal implementation and management. The Senior Director, Distribution – UK is a strategically-minded and commercially astute professional that manages VIMN/C5 commercial content distribution services on a day-to-day basis and maintains strong working relationships with all VIMN/C5 major Pay TV and Free TV platforms and has full accountability for management of smaller cable and IPTV channel distribution partners KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Negotiation End to end negotiation management, including – deal preparation / scenario and operator analysis / strategic and tactical formulation / deal approval decks / presentation creation / opening proposal creation / negotiation tracking / client management / negotiation / stakeholder management / contractual savviness Strategic Relationship Management Regular engagement with key clients – Pay and Free - to establish productive and effective relationships and coordinate and facilitate / enhance different VIMN relationships with key clients Strategic & Market Insight Keep track of key market / client / competitor developments, conducting / sourcing analysis as and when required Work with the VP, Content, Research, Finance, Strategy Research to analyse data (subscription / transactional / viewership) and build and structure insights into segment / platform / product performance and subscriber / revenue trends, subsequently crafting and presenting business ideas on how to further increase product / revenue performance Operating & Administration Update operating calendar as required Proactively administer operating responsibilities as outlined in operating calendar, with clients and internal stakeholders Good practice with client management (meeting follow up, meeting preparation, meeting agenda and notes circulated internally etc.) Oversee creation / compilation of monthly distribution report Work closely with CC / MTV / Nick / C5 team to continuously improve processes and performance for serving platform clients / partners Budget Setting Help to prepare quarterly and annual budgets as well as mid-range plans. Provide subscriber and revenue estimates and projections on individual deals and products, and provides monthly updates on subscriber performance in conjunction with finance.
