Development Project Manager
Salary £36, 467 Per Annum
Full time - 37 hours per week
6 month fixed term contract (secondment opportunities will be considered for internal applicants)
Our client is a Buckinghamshire based housing association providing homes and services to local communities throughout Aylesbury, they have around 7,200 homes. They pride themselves on working closely with residents and surrounding communities to make sure they deliver high quality housing, homes and services. They are looking for a Development Project Manager to help them achieve their vision and goals.
The Development Project Manager role involves finding development opportunities for our client in order to provide new homes.
The successful candidate will project manage the design and delivery of new homes at pre-contract stage.
The role includes liaison with local residents and stakeholders, arranging consultation events and attending parish and town council meetings, which can be held outside office hours.
The Development Project Manager is responsible for selecting, appointing and managing professional teams, arranging planning applications, negotiating contracts and managing the legal process.
The post holder will be involved with report writing, budget monitoring, reviewing and mitigating operational risks and preparing applications for grant funding.
The role requires a current full driving licence and use of own vehicle.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Project management experience.
- Excellent customer service skills including written and verbal communication skills in order to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
- Good knowledge of IT applications (e.g. QL and Microsoft Office).
- The ability to prioritise and meet deadlines, working calmly even under pressure.
