About the Job
A household name in the Energy Sector based in Central London is seeking a talented and hands-on developer to lead the design and development of the company's internally developed software architecture.**You must have commercial experience with Java AND Python to be considered for this role.**
This is across all business areas from front to back office, focusing on technical design, understanding and communication of business requirements, adoption of technical best practice, adherence to and development of internal procedures and actual development of systems; thus ensuring efficient and technically sound development services.
You'll be responsible for developer coaching, mentoring and leading enhancement of coding standards ensuring unit testability and maintainable code base through structured code management. Additionally you'll introduce code reviews and distributed application deployment.
Software architecture predominantly:
*Core Python/Java, SQL and messaging that integrate physical commodity trading systems and support business operations and analysis.
*Moderate amount of C#, VBA within the software architecture with internal web services for managing and recording business processes.
To be considered you'll be strong in these areas and have 5+ years' experience.

£65,000.00 - £70,000.00 per year
