The Candidate As a qualified Dental Nurse, you will work with our team of Dental Nurses to ensure that the clinical aspect of the practice runs efficiently. As well as being hands-on, nursing with dentists and hygienists – leading by example – you will help your Practice Manager in the smooth operation of the dental practice. You will possess excellent nursing skills and people skills and a real attention to detail. Providing chairside support to dentists and hygienists and establishing ways of working. Supporting clinicians to ensure surgery sessions run efficiently and on time. Supporting the Practice Manager to ensure the practice works within our Clinical Governance framework and HTM01-05 standards. Supporting the Practice Manager in keeping the dental practice CQC compliant through regular checks and process audits. Implementing new clinical processes into practice. Ensuring instrument decontamination is operated correctly and efficiently to minimise disruption to practice operation. Central stock control, management and staff training to ensure effective use of materials. Working alongside the Practice Manager to help the practice fulfil its potential. This is a great springboard for a future career in management or extending your wider clinical skills within the Rodericks group. Your Experience Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification experience. Experience with SOE is desirable (training will be provided). Registration with the General Dental Council. National Certificate in Dental Nursing or NVQ Level 3 Oral Healthcare or equivalent.
