Vp is a long established group which has evolved over a 60 year trading history. Our businesses offer the rental and sale of specialist products and associated services to a diverse range of end markets, including construction, civil engineering, rail, water, oil and gas, outdoor events and housebuilding. We are currently looking to appoint a Customer Service Manager in our Shoring business who will report in to the Operations Director. With a remit to lead the customer service team and also lead on our logistics side of this business by effectively managing our interface with our customers this is a pivotal role within Groundforce. We would be looking to hear from applicants with a proven track record of delivering results through strong leadership and employee management skills alongside an in depth logistics experience. Responsibilities include managing profitability through achieving/exceeding budgeted targets, managing & driving efficiencies in logistics, delivering a robust business administration/hire sales performance whilst prioritising customer service in line with best practice. Business development to include building and developing new relationships with our customers and working with the sales teams to deliver sales campaigns and implement effective solutions. As Health and Safety is also a priority ensuring our business is operating on a daily basis to ensure employee welfare and safety, awareness and knowledge of Health & Safety compliance and legislation is essential. Knowledge/skills and qualifications required : A clear and concise communicator with a proven track record of leadership and ability to encourage effective teamwork. Highly motivated with a strong understanding of commercial processes and how these would interact with distribution & logistics. Customer Service experience, ability to understand customer needs and company requirements. Full understanding of P&L and balance sheet information, financially numerate and literate. Knowledge of the construction or civil engineering industry preferred but no essential. A team player with an outgoing and confident personality and a flexible approach.
