Overview of Role: You will have the opportunity to help our clients develop sustainably through stakeholder led consenting working on development consent order submissions, major planning submissions and construction environmental management projects. You will do this by driving the stakeholder management process across our major projects. As part of a growing and agile team you can be involved in some of the UK’s most complex, iconic and challenging projects that are diverse and technically demanding. These include major regeneration projects, garden cities, energy opportunities, infrastructure schemes and strategic land optimisation. Our clients include National Grid, Transport for London, Homes England, Welsh Government, Highways England and the Canal & River Trust together with a range of private developers, contractors and local authorities. Your Day-to-Day: · Develop and lead bespoke project strategies for stakeholder engagement; · Deliver outcomes for our clients and helping them manage their stakeholder risks through client and stakeholder interfaces; · Establish strong relationships within our multi-disciplinary teams to facilitate effective stakeholder engagement; · Develop a clear understanding of the technical scope of projects and to communicate this clearly and effectively to the public; · Manage stakeholder and customer correspondence and responses using a CRM system or similar; · Develop and manage the process of responding to stakeholder enquires. · Lead the delivery of stakeholder reports and associated data collation and interpretation; · Mentor and support other team members as required; · Contribute and/or manage to the preparation of Statement of Community Consultation and assist in the preparation of Statements of Common Ground; · Lead in the organisation and delivery of community stakeholder events e.g. Public Consultation Exhibitions, Parish Council Meetings, Community Reference Group, resident association etc.; · Assist with land access agreements with land owner and tenants; · Be familiar with, and compliant with, relevant H & S regulations relevant to their role. What You have to Offer: Essential: · Relevant l Degree, with a Masters Degree in relevant discipline preferred; · Experience of working in consultancy or a comparable role in industry; · Working knowledge of consenting and planning regimes (particularly consenting for Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs, DCO). · Knowledge of UK environmental legislation and planning policy; · Experience of leading stakeholder and public engagement programmes, ideally on major infrastructure projects; · Experience of stakeholder management/CRM systems; · Good understanding of a range of technical disciplines; · Understanding of Equality Assessments; · Great communication and team working skills; · Demonstrable client care skills; · Excellent written skills, with good attention to detail; · Ability to think in an innovative and entrepreneurial manner to promote compelling and technologically advanced solutions; · Team player with demonstrable previous experience in working in multi-disciplinary teams; · Excellent motivation, influencing, people management, presentational and delegation skills; · Willing to be co-located at client offices and out of hours; · Full and valid driving licence. Desirable: · Experience with negotiating with land interests seeking CPO powers; · Experience in Statutory Notice Publication; · Experience working with Highways England; · Working towards Chartered Status; · Knowledge of UK planning policy regime; · Interest and / or experience in sustainable development issues; · Knowledge and experience of GIS and BIM; · CSCS card holder; · Travel Flexibility.
