We are currently recruiting for the role of Night Security/ Concierge Worker for Projects within our Complex Needs and Women’s services in Bristol. The Projects within these services provide accommodation and support to male and female clients; working with the clients in a recovery focused way to support them into independent living. In the above role you’ll provide overnight waking cover for the service and be responsible for providing first contact and safeguarding our clients at night including dealing with emergencies. You’ll also carry out regular health and safety checks on patrol and through monitoring the CCTV system. The role also involves working alongside other night staff, so if you have an interest in pursuing a career in support/ project work, this will give you the chance to receive on the job training and experience of working within a supported housing environment. We will also give you the opportunity to undertake shadow day or paid day shifts, as they become available; thereby gaining valuable experience to further your career. The ideal candidate will be someone with a strong interest in pursuing a career in support and project work. You will also have good communication skills and an understanding of the issues that affect vulnerable clients. A good level of numeracy and literacy skills and the ability to use your own initiative, are also required. Flexibility is required, as you’ll be working a shift rota that includes weekends and public holidays.
