Community Development Officer (Full Time 21 Hours Per/Week)
Salary £18,000 – Fixed 5 year Term until June 2024

The GCDT is seeking to appoint a part time Community Development Officer to support the planning, preparation and implementation of an activities programme within our new community hub, The Portland. The plan will ensure the delivery of a co-ordinated programme of activities for all ages and abilities based in Galston.
This role will allow us to continue the implementation of the Galston Trusts Action Plan, develop and implement new initiatives while working to develop The Portland, transforming it into and exciting community hub. This project will support the establishment of pathways and a strong, vibrant and sustainable structure for the population of Galston and surrounding areas. The post will be outcome orientated with an emphasis on increasing the number of people and groups using the Portland, creating volunteer opportunities, developing the Community Action Plan and supporting the trust become sustainable and less grant reliant.
It is envisaged that the role will involve regular patterns of work with evening and weekend work as and when required.
