Applications are invited from substantive Chief Inspectors and substantive Inspectors seeking promotion, for a Detective Chief Inspector– Head of Intelligence as part of Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTP SE). You will deputise for the Head of Intelligence when required in the operational and tactical management of intelligence relating to national security, terrorism and domestic extremism. You will support operations and investigations utilising appropriate resources, ethically and within agreed protocols and procedures, working with a range of partnership agencies. You will have experience of managing and directing specialist crime intelligence development including understanding of intelligence processes and products. You will also have an understanding of the use of covert intelligence gathering techniques and investigation strategies. A solid understanding of Investigation and Court procedures and processes including disclosure (CPIA) is also essential to the role. This role is part of a national, regional and local network and will include travel across the region and elsewhere, as a result you will be required to travel for business purposes. You will be asked to demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours in line with operational demand. You must be prepared to undergo Developed Vetting (DV).
