The role focuses specifically on Middle Office Asset Servicing. Middle Office Asset Servicing is driving an aggressive agenda to enhance client experience and operating processes.
Supporting internal Corporate Actions and Income processing teams to reduce risk and improve client experience.
Responding to both internal and external enquiries on Asset Servicing when required.
Liaising with agent banks and custodians to improve processes and client experience.
Ensuring Asset Servicing teams aim to have 100% of responses on Corporate Action elections with custodians where appropriate. Measuring success rates and capturing actions to improve.
Managing clients and their elections on late announced Corporate Action events and liaising with custodians to extend deadlines.
Managing custodian performance and taking actions to resolve issues identified directly with the custodian and the network management team.
Participating and leading meetings at the operational level on change initiatives impacting Asset Servicing.
Providing continuous/regular feedback on project status, UAT to Management and stakeholders.
Understanding and leading the iMOS Asset Servicing control environment and ensuring daily checks, control attestations and standard operating procedures are complete and up to date.
Ensuring business continuity plans are valid and kept up to date
Ability to represent the global Asset Servicing team client meetings.
We are looking for candidates with the following characteristics:
Full lifecycle Asset Servicing product & process knowledge
Client Service and Middle Office exposure preferred
Good balance between analytical skills and interpersonal skills
Ability to face off to very demanding stakeholders, managing their expectations
Good understanding of Corporate Actions/Income accounting entries
Excellent problem solving skills to identify, understand and address operational and technical issues
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to develop relationships across the various stakeholders including senior business executives
Motivated and able to deliver with minimal supervision, whilst working effectively in a team
Candidate must have a control focused agenda, and understand all potential impacts internally and to the client.
Ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work and meet the clients expectations
Self-starter with ability to learn quickly
People and Communication:
Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills including the ability to communicate difficult and complex
messages clearly and consistently with both internal teams as well as clients.
Business and Subject Matter Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of asset servicing (corporate actions & dividends), Strong knowledge
of project life cycle and its critical control points. Financial markets product knowledge and understanding of the
Subject matter expertise in Custody products is a significant plus Working knowledge of
Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Microsoft Projects, a PMP license a plus
