Are you a current University of Leeds undergraduate student, with an interest in online learning, web development, and multimedia production? Would you like to gain valuable experience of developing engaging, interactive online learning resources for a global audience?
The Digital Education Service (DES) is looking for a current Leeds undergraduate student to join us as an Intern for 9months from August 2019. The DES is responsible for developing innovative online courses that are delivered via a range of channels, including Minerva, FutureLearn, and Coursera. The Service has won numerous awards in recognition of the high quality of its work, commitment to excellence and good practice.
In this role you will work alongside instructional designers, video producers, animators and graphic designers in a professional office environment, supporting the development of online interactive learning objects, creating multimedia resources, and building online courses.
With an interest in pursuing a career in web development, interactive media production, and/or digital learning, you will have strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. We are looking for someone with a positive and proactive approach to problem solving and the ability to complete tasks to agreed deadlines. Strong IT skills, proficiency in the use of MS Office products (particularly Word and Excel) and some experience of front-end web development are essential.
