Here at Baird Group we have an exciting opportunity for a Buyers Admin Assistant to join our fast-paced team environment. This role will be responsible for playing a vital part within Baird Group’s buying teams as well as providing essential admin support to your department. With the support of the Assistant Buyer and Junior Buyer, you will write online product descriptions, manage daily admin, chase suppliers and contribute to weekly critical path meetings. You will prepare samples for weekly trade meetings and ensure the samples areas are in season order, correctly labelled and tidy. You will complete range boards and bestseller boards for all product areas as required seasonally, as well as setting up seasonal range books and CADS for wholesale and retail conferences. The successful candidate will ideally have a degree in Buying or Fashion and will have experience working in a similar role. As such, you will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills both face-to-face and over the phone, accuracy of buying documentation and sampling, house-keeping and organisational skills and product development. You will have a creative flair whilst being confident in making decisions. You will have good IT skills within Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and especially within CAD packages. This position is based at our Head Office in Leeds city centre and is a short 5 minute walk away from the train station.
