We now have an opportunity available for a Retail NHS Rx Buyer to join our Procurement team in Runcorn. The purpose of this role is to engage in negotiation to maximise retail and group margin in the branded Rx, traded commodity and parallel import categories, interfacing with all associated internal procurement categories to facilitate this. As a Retail NHS Rx Buyer you will negotiate and develop relationships with suppliers allocated by the Rowlands NHS Purchasing Manager and will maximise profitability whilst protecting and promoting retail and group interests. You will assist in the negotiation of Rowlands Brand Support Deals, generate reports to identify opportunities whilst monitoring profitability and minimising waste. You will also ensure that the requirements of GDP are complied with. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills as you will interface with key stakeholders and customers throughout the PHOENIX Group and will attend meetings on and off site with and on behalf of the Retail NHS Purchasing Manager to which you will produce relevant meeting reports. Educated to a minimum GCSE standard (including Maths and English), you will ideally have experience in a purchasing / procurement environment, or alternatively have strong working knowledge of retail pharmacy. You will ideally have a proven track record of negotiation and profit target achievement and you will be IT competent, specifically with Work and Excel.
