An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a Business Unit Controller (Convenience) to join us on a full time, permanent basis. This is mainly a home-based role, with a requirement to work at least 1 full day in the office per week as required.
Reporting to the Sales Director, this is a high-profile client role within the business and will entail all aspects of Client Services and field management. Within this role, you will deliver the business plan revenue, profit and efficiency targets from one of our largest clients and will create a long-term sustainable channel strategy for our current and future convenience clients.
There will also be a large element to the role of leading, motivating and developing a team of field colleagues, ensuring high standards and field results are always maintained.
It is important to us that the successful candidate is able to create a results-based culture and have an understanding of how to use data to drive performance. In addition, you will also be expected to create annual development plans for direct reports and have a role in developing field team objectives, including supporting succession planning within the business.
In order to be successful in this role, it is essential that you have previous experience in FMCG along with familiarity in convenience/van sales. A proven track record in creating a clear channel vision internally and with clients is also key to this role. Although not essential, field marketing experience would be beneficial.
Proven experience of leading remote field teams and inspiring high performance through effective communication is also essential, along with a track record of dealing directly with Booker, Spar, Nisa, Bestway.
Due to the nature of the role a full current UK manual driving licence is essential.
