Reporting to the Commercial Effectiveness Director EMEA this is a rare and exciting opportunity to provide leadership and take accountability for Univar’s Specialty Consumables (USC) business across the UK. Whilst directly managing the sales and customer service functions for the business, you will be the go to person for the entire USC business with overall responsible to provide leadership, direction, support and guidance for the whole team across our Tamworth head office, Bangor warehouse and customer ‘In-store’ operations in the UK.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
+ Lead, develop and manage the sales function to ensure effective operation of the team
+ Growth – your objective will be to drive the business forward, grow our profits and increase our market share
+ Ensure action plans and processes are in place, cross functionally, to develop new business, retain existing business and exceed budget
+ Achieve agreed sales, GP and cost budgets
+ Understand and keep abreast of market trends and use this to evolve the USC strategy to build our market share
+ Deliver Business analysis and reporting as required
+ Continue to drive the USC digital focus, ensuring it remains high as a business priority
We Are Looking For:
We are looking for someone with a passion for selling – you must be an experienced Sales Manager, entrepreneurial in spirit with a proven record of accomplishment in a commercial environment. Being able to communicate at all levels is imperative – above all you must have the desire to succeed and be able to support and encourage an enthusiastic team as they strive to achieve their individual goals and team targets. A background within a related industry would be beneficial, but proven success as a Senior Sales operator and accomplished people manager and leader would be more of an asset to us.
