Business Development Manager
Location : Wokingham
Salary £40,000 (OTE £60,000 upwards)
My client who are based in Wokingham are looking for an Business Development Manager to join their team. We are looking for candidates who have got a proven background within Sales. My client have been trading for over 75 years and offer a fantastic workplace for all employees.
The Business Development Manager will proactively develop and grow new business opportunities across a range of markets. They will be responsible for raising the Company’s profile and establishing new relationships with key decision makers in relevant businesses.
The BDM will have an annual sales target to achieve which will be eligible for a quarterly commission payment, if the targets for each quarter are achieved.
Identifying new potential customers through industry and market research.
Developing strategy, tactics, sales plans and profit targets by individual customer to optimise the full potential for thermoforming for each customer.
Identifying and reporting on business opportunities in target markets.
Arranging and attending meetings with potential clients and presenting the Company and its products in a professional manner at all times.
Produce visit reports to Management following meetings with prospective customers.
Increasing market share in existing markets and maximise new business development opportunities.
Skills and Experience Required
The BDM position requires a good standard of education that must include either an HND/Degree in
Mechanical Engineering and/or equivalent engineering area.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a business development role, preferably in a technical environment, particularly plastics industry.
Proven track record of building new business and consistently achieving or exceeding sales and profit targets.

Good sense of humour and positive demeanor including during more challenging times
The basic salary for the position of BDM is £40,000pa. In addition, a commission scheme will be offered that should deliver OTE of £60,000pa or better.
Annual holidays of 24 days pa plus all statutory days.
A Company car allowance.Pension contributions up to a maximum of 5% of gross salary.
OTE £60,000 upwards
