About the role of Business Development Manager
Reporting into the Sales Director the primary purpose of the Business Development Manager role is to create, nurture and close revenue generating opportunities with new prospects / brands. You will have plenty of autonomy to go after whoever you want and will have the whole of UK and Europe to sell to and as a Business Development Manager you will be expected to win and expand local, regional and global brands targeting senior level decision makers within Marketing / Communications for example Marketing Director, Head Communications, Head of Customer Engagement.
Part of the role will involve attending face to face sales meetings with new prospects / clients for sales presentations and therefore this role would suit a sales individual who enjoys getting out and closing business face to face!

- Proven track record in meeting and exceeding sales revenue targets
- Experience of selling over the phone and face to face
- Fluency in another European language such as Spanish, Italian, French or German would be beneficial but not essential
- Experience of selling MarTech, SAAS or technology based software services
- Experience of selling into Marketing or Communications departments
- Experience of Salesforce or another leading CRM platform
- Degree educated
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Must be prepared to travel locally and internationally
