What you’ll do
You will have the responsibility to build key relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiate and close new business and maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions.
You should be experienced and comfortable with lead generation using telephone and social channels, using a consultative sales process whilst focusing on the core task of securing meetings – demonstrating value to prospective clients through your knowledge of digital transformation, an understanding of their sector challenges and the various digital technologies and services that can help a business change how they operate, and interact/transact with the customers.
You will support the sales and marketing team by developing new business opportunities, and ensuring that our meeting and opportunity targets are met. Your work will lead to proposals and will include working closely with members of the wider teams to ensure that our proposals and identified opportunities have the highest success of winning.
The existing team includes the Head of Sales & Marketing, Senior Marketing Manager and Marketing & Sales Executive, but we are recruiting to expand the team further. You will support this team across sales and marketing activities, contributing to our brand becoming famous and our sales pipeline always being full.
Day to day your role will include
•Identify new business meeting opportunities and manage the process through to appointment setting and attending
● Attending conferences and events
•Supporting the team to develop partnerships, finding new revenue streams and writing proposals
•Management of email campaigns and leads in Pardot, along with Salesforce administration in conjunction with the Marketing & Sales Executive
•Be tenacious in your approach to new business work, using own initiative to find leads from companies, in addition, to provide leads and data
•Proactively dealing with inbound enquiries
•Following up all leads generated by marketing campaigns/activity and emails/inbound calls received from potential customers promptly, to maximise conversion, in accordance with KPIs and target
•Developing a high level of knowledge about our products and services and the digital industry
•Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
•Supporting event-based sales activity as required
•Continually review process and practise, making suggestions in order to increase efficiency and results
•Produce and analyse performance reporting, and present this to the sales & marketing team
•Staying on top of the ever-changing digital landscape, external environment/market intelligence and key sector issues/market opportunities
•Representing the agency at own events and conferences
What you’ll bring
•Proven experience within a Business Development/Sales capacity in arranging meetings, attending and closing
•Experience dealing with senior-level marketers, directors and C-suite executives
•Hunter instincts - experienced at identifying new business opportunities & lead generation
•Comfortable and have experience of cold-calling
•Knowledge using Salesforce and other tools
•A hunger to succeed, grow and work as a team to drive business and revenue growth
•A Dedicated approach to business development with proven experience
•A passion for digital, business transformation and strategy, with excellent communication skills (written & oral)
