We are now seeking an experienced Bid Coordinator to join our Construction team. The role is responsible for working with our Bid Writers and Bid Managers to produce winning bids at both PQQ and ITT stages across new build residential, education and healthcare schemes.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Bid Coordinator to join our construction bids team. This team produces, writes and delivers bid responses for tender enquiries at both PQQ (pre-qualification questionnaire) and ITT (invitation to tender) stages. These tenders are typically on behalf of Rydon Construction for schemes across housing, education and healthcare. These schemes range in value from £15m construction value to over £150m in construction value. As such the role offers the opportunity to contribute to our winning bids, which can make the difference to the lives of many within the community through improved housing, better education facilities or improved healthcare access.
As part of this varied and challenging role, you will provide support to include the following:
- Working with bid managers to produce winning tenders by writing and compiling compelling responses to client questions/requirements
- Building relationships and coordinating with technical experts across the business so that their input can be gathered to support bid responses.
- Manage the timely response from internal/external parties.
- Ensuring effective version control of documents.
- Sourcing and adapting template responses from the bid library.
- Management of procurement portals – monitoring/maintaining/updating (including OJEU).
- Arranging for review and approval of bid content prior to submission in line with business requirements.
- Undertaking research via publications and online as required.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable bid coordination skills. It would be a distinct advantage should this experience have been gained within the construction or engineering sector, however candidates able to demonstrate strong bid coordination experience in other sectors will also be considered. Alternatively, Rydon is well known for its learning and development culture. As such, we will consider candidates able to demonstrate strong written communication and administration skills in a field 'content driven' field such as content marketing or journalism looking for a new challenge.
Whatever field you join us from, you will need to have good communication skills (written and verbal), excellent Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills, with excellent attention to detail. Above all, you'll have enthusiasm and be looking for an opportunity in a fast-paced and friendly office environment.
