From the outset, you will be contributing to the output of your team, taking responsibility and working with leading professionals.
We have an opportunity for a trainee to join our Banking Services Operations Department which is responsible for all Custody services that BNP Paribas provides to its vast array of client types for the Securities Services business. The department is responsible for the account management of all BNP Paribas UK Global and Local Custody clients, including Middle East and South Africa, with an overall responsibility to ensure an optimised client experience for each client and adhering to all regulatory procedures and processes.
The trainee will gain an understanding of custody operations which is a key part of Financial Services. This activity encompasses Settlement, Corporate actions, Income, Tax, and Cash. The Global and Local Custody UK teams are composed of client facing activity for the UK based clients working together with central teams, managing the global tools and processes to facilitate their overall mission.
Main duties will include:
- Working across the custody functions on a cross segment of client activity
- Supporting the account managers on key operational activities
- Dealing with client queries
- Working on various ad-hoc tasks investigating and rectifying anomalies experienced within the global custody network
- Attending meetings between Global Custody UK and various internal teams
The candidate must have strong MS Office skills, including advanced Excel. Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and a highly organised approach are all essential. Self-motivation is key as well as an ability to work well in a team. You must have an awareness of risk along with the ability to work well under pressure.
The successful applicant will be a fast learnerwho genuinely wants to make the most of their time in a leading Financial Services Company and have a resourceful and lsquo;can dorsquo; attitude.
