The Associate Medical Director is a member of the Health Board and Health and Social Care Partnership’s Senior Management (HSCP) Teams.
As the Associate Medical Director,youwill work with the Health Board’s Medical Director and Chief Officer to ensure that there are robust systems and processes in place, to deliver person centred, efficient, integrated and outcome focussed care, and that these are working effectively.
This post will work with the Medical Director and Chief Officer to ensure that there are effective, and evidence based clinical and care governance systems in place that reflect national and local guidance, directives and legislation.
Working as theAssociate Medical Director you will also be responsible for complementary local /national policy and guidance and have a leadership and clinical/care governance responsibility for clinical staff working in primary/community care, including Unscheduled, Unplanned, Out of Hours care systems and processes.You will also provide expert professional/clinical advice on key primary/community care issues and take a wider view, and be a key contributor for agreed areas of organisation-wide community clinical development including stakeholders such as GPs, NHS24, SAS, community nursing, AHPs and social care staff.
Your responsibilitieswill also involve being the Cluster Quality Lead for the Health and Social Care Partnership and will support GP practices to deliver quality improvement.
The post holder will alsodeputise for the Board Medical Director when necessary and will be a member of the Integrated Corporate Senior Management Team and a non-voting member of the Integrated Joint Board.
As a successful candidate you will be able to communicate effectively with a range of audiences and have a track record of building high-performing teams, bringing about change, preferably in a complex healthcare system. You will be experienced in corporate work, and as a key member of the Senior Management Team you will be expected to contribute beyond your defined portfolio.
You will be required to register with the PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) Scheme. If you do not hold permanent residential status in the UK or hold an EU, EEA or Switzerland passport, you should be eligible to apply under the current immigration process for this post.
